[Job Description]
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
? Ensuring a production schedule is developed that meets both corporate demand strategy and the plant’s ability to execute
? Responsibility for managing raw, finished goods and packaging days on hand and period end inventory levels.
Procuring raw materials and stores them.
? Manage towards minimization of slow moving inventory and SKUs.
? Recommends continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs.
? Manages inventory control personnel and processes to achieve expected accuracy,
including coordination of plant-wide monthly and annual audits.
? Collaborate with the corporate S&OP team to develop supply plans to achieve right product
at right place and the right time at the lowest cost
? Develops a robust working relationship with Operations, Finance, Corporate Logistics, Plant management and Customer Service.
? Analyze service failures/issues and implement performance processes to enhance delivery to customers
? Work with corporate supply chain in sourcing cost effective freight rates
? Participates in the business planning and budgeting process.
Develops short and long-term cost containment and reduction strategies.
? Serves as a member of the plant leadership team, setting direction and policy for the facility
? Execute safety policies and practices and provide training, minimizing risk to personnel.
? Effective management of direct reports including inventory control & logistics
? Training of all plant personnel in inventory control procedures
? Physical Inventory Planning & Execution
? Other responsibilities as required

Skills & Competencies:
? Understanding of the supply/demand planning business drivers, organization structures and key metrics
? Strong organizational and analytical skills
? Strong computer skills covering Excel, Access, Word, Oracle or other ERP system.
? Motivating, collaborative leadership style with proven communication skills.
? Working knowledge of P & L Statements
? Strong English Reading, Writing and Speaking Skills (Fluent)
? Driven and Energetic
? Able to solve complex problems outside of normal processes
? Ability to work with all levels of personnel
? Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in response to production and administrative needs.
Education & Experience:
? Bachelor Degree.
? Minimum of 7 years of experience
? Supervisory & Leadership Experience
? Hands on experience in Supply Chain, Production & Scheduling & High Volume Manufacturing
? Experience in working with SAP, specifically within modules related to factory scheduling and production as well as warehouse and inventory management
Preferred Qualifications:
? Work experience in manufacturing preferably metal packaging
? Working knowledge in a self-directed workforce environment
? APICS certification
? High proficiency working with SAP or similar database application technology
? Handling Sox Control
