Job Description
As the Director of our Seller Services software teams, you will be leading a team that is responsible for the software development of Coupang’s core Seller Experience Platform. Coupang’s sellers are at the core of the customer experience, allowing us to bring something special every day to our customers. Our Seller Experience systems are used by thousands of sellers, generating tens of thousands of page loads as they add new product details, manage their inventory and purchase order details, and track the performance of their sales on Coupang. These systems are a complex mix of real-time data management, user experience, and workflow-based application design with tight uptime goals.
The successful candidate will influence the vision and features of this critical platform. Working with other technology teams, you and your team will design and build systems that integrate with supply chain and catalog management systems, fulfillment systems, our store (web and mobile) teams and financial systems. This is a high-profile position that will have exposure across the entire business, including weekly meetings with senior executives to discuss next steps, current progress and the vision for the Seller Experience space. You will work closely with the Director of Product Management to define and prioritize roadmap.

10+ years of engineering management experience preferably with Internet-scale experience
7+ years experience with building and leading teams with an emphasis on scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business
5+ years of experience managing software development teams, design and architecture experience
This leader has must have demonstrated that they have succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented team
Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results
Continuously evaluate our core technology processes and look for opportunities to streamline and add greater value.
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
