As the Director of our CX (customer experience) software teams, you will be leading teams that are responsible for the software development of Coupang’s core consumer facing eCommerce applications across Android, iOS, mobile web and PC. These applications are used by millions of customers, generating billions of page views and hundreds of millions of dollars every month. You will have strong ownership over creating systems that enable rapid iterations, with a focus on our mobile apps. You are comfortable with engineering development and operations, team development, and scaling the business, as well as debating HTML5 vs native. This is a senior leadership role that will interact with all levels of Coupang’s senior management team. You will partner with the Director of Product Management to define the roadmap and manage prioritization of projects.

[Required]
10+ years of engineering management experience preferably with Internet-scale experience
7+ years experience with building and leading teams with an emphasis on scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business
5+ years of experience shipping B2C mobile applications at scale
This leader must have demonstrated that they have succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented team
Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred

[Preferred]
eCommerce CX experience
Proven experience in building modularized UI architecture that enables decentralized teams to execute independently
Fluent in English and Korean
