[Business Intelligence Director]

Purpose of the Role

Provide expertise of Korea market, consumers and gaming landscape (including online, mobile and other segments) in order to partner with the Korea Leadership Team, Publishing & Marketing, and key partners to drive strategic planning, business reporting and market analysis for the Korea business. As well as challenging our current thinking, this insight will enable us to drive more factually based & consumer focused decision making and action.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Organisational
? The role will have a dotted line and be a key source of information and visibility for the APAC Category Insight Function, which will act as the central hub, filter and provider of this data in the region.
? This function will also require the contribution of other functions and internal stakeholders, and in turn, contribute to other functions and stakeholders, and as such you will need to formalize roles and responsibilities and accountability.

Strategic Planning and Research
? Partner with Korea Leadership Team in formulating business strategy for the Korea business and all key functions by providing high quality internal and external business intelligence.
? Become the research backed expert about consumer segment preferences and attitudes toward assigned franchises, genres or research disciplines.
? Provide insights and recommendations to influence product portfolio, development decisions and financial forecasting.
? Provide ongoing recommendations and solutions to the Korea Leadership Team (including functional heads) using actionable insight to deliver key business driving initiatives.
? Track and provide ongoing rationale and commentary on Korea business performance (particularly against KPIs).
? Support in preparing presentations for key meetings and proposals.
? Partner with key EA research and strategic planning teams to track current and future market trends, identify future business opportunities.
? Spread best practices within operating units and across research teams.

Data Management and Reporting
? Work collaboratively with Publishing, Marketing and Finance to deliver comprehensive evaluation of all our key commercial activities by developing the right measurement tools. This will ensure we are allocating our resources and investments to the right opportunities and maximising the return on investment.
? Consolidate and maintain product database for each Korea product launch, and process large amounts of data into relevant, actionable insights and recommendations to China Management, Publishing Teams and other functions.
? Compile relevant market data reporting for Korea (including software and hardware) and circulate in periodic reports / management packs.
? Provide periodic reporting to Korea Management Team, Publishing, Finance and other functions on Korea business performance (against revenue targets, key metric assumptions and KPIs).

Publishing Teams (Online/Mobile)
? Assist Publishing Teams to track product by product performance, including access to relevant product database, and filtering/interpreting data as per Publishing Teams’ requests.
? Assist with user feedback, and focus group testing in order to maximize reach and suitability of EA products against defined demographic.
? Assist with product and market presentations for Publishing Teams to make product pitches to prospective partners.
? Work with Publishing Teams to evaluate and prioritize product pitches from prospective partners.

Marketing
? Partner with product marketing to compile rationale for marketing/promotional spends.
? Assist with tracking and measure the impact of key marketing/promotional activities on market and partner performance, and make recommendations for future marketing/promotional activities.
? Manage an active consumer research programme to deliver category leading initiatives, including consumer segmentation.

Finance/Forecasting:
? Partner with Publishing Teams to provide support and rationale for product forecasts and spend.
? Partner with finance to provide support and materials for financial reports and quarterly financial updates.
? Work with finance to resolve any finance/accounting guidance that would have a material impact on revenue?i.e., revenue recognition for digital revenue streams.

Experience:
? 7+ years experiences in consumer insights/research on either client or agency side
? Strong track record in driving integrated research programs that influenced business decisions and results
? Proven ability to process large amounts of data into relevant, actionable insights and recommendations.
? A history of demonstrated leadership and being a respected partner within a consumer products company or as part of an agency team
? Experience in research in the video game or entertainment/sports industries preferred.

? Fluency in Korean and English (both written and verbal) required
