Key Responsibilities:
The Challenge Ahead: Working with HR management, the Lead HRBP for EA Korea partners with EA managers and employees to develop and implement talent strategies at the individual, team, and BU level, that are designed to grow, maintain, and strengthen the employee culture and to support the attainment of EA business objectives. Primary contact for management and employees within given business group(s). Champions and assists in the management of company-wide programs (e.g., performance review, compensation review, stock/recognition, benefits, workforce planning, succession planning, training/development and organizational change). Customizes corporate HR programs to enable effective local implementation. Coaches and recommends solutions to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach and/or escalates to senior HR management as appropriate. This requires partnership with directors, managers, and Sr. HR management to determine how drive local talent strategies. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with internal stakeholders within HR and the business, as well as playing an active role in driving development, customization, and implementation of HR initiatives partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs) where applicable. Participates on EA-wide HR project teams to develop and/or deliver programs in support of EA and/or label/division talent strategy.
What the HR Business Partner does at EA: As the Lead HR Business Partner, you will report to the Head of HR for EA Korea, participating in the strategic management of the business. Your primary focus will be over seeing the start-to-finish development and delivery of Talent programs and practices. Most of your time will be focused on understanding the business imperatives and partnering with the management team and other teams within EA to strategically identify and implement people strategies that are designed to enable the realization of EA goals. Because you are smart and deliver innovative and impactful solutions to the business, you will build trust and confidence with the leadership team and will be the invaluable and trusted advisor and coach to all levels of management and employees within EA Korea If you have the skills and experience building organizational capability through organizational design, change management, coaching and counsel, you will get to do it here and you will love it. Key Duties and Responsibilities: ?Is seen as a trusted advisor by managers at all levels. Responds to employees and management inquiries on a broad range of issues ?Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in both Korean and English) ?Supports hiring efforts; works with managers to define talent needs; coordinates hiring and selection with COE, Talent Acquisition partners to ensure a positive candidate experience ?Builds organizational capability through leadership on organization design, change management, coaching, and by partnering with HR centre of expertise to identify and implement programs to support the needs of the business, with an eye to the needs of the greater EA population. ?Participates in and/or drives employee engagement initiatives and assists in the analysis of feedback, related presentations, and may help facilitate meetings to review outcomes and develop action plans ?Works with business to foster a culture of ongoing performance feedback and development ?Liaises with HR management, facilities, and local EA Korea leadership on matters relating to employee engagement, welfare, discipline, and employee satisfaction issues ?Utilizing knowledge of local employment legislation (and may include increasing understanding of global employment law), partners with managers and HR to address workplace issues ?May also facilitate meetings to address ER issues identified from survey feedback and other sources and partner with management to create action plans to address ?Coaches with integrity and in support of individual and organizational success. Provides sometimes difficult yet timely feedback to leaders in support of their growth and development. ?Responsible for leading workforce/succession planning, performance management, compensation planning, partnering with HR Management and business leaders to manage headcount and related budgets, and partnering with talent acquisition to build and execute appropriate resource plans for assigned groups. ?Creates and analyses HR metrics and provides reports as required to support management decision making. Creates dashboards to support the ability to monitor and address identified key metrics ?Responsible for recruitment actively partnering with Talent Acquisition Team of APAC. Requirements ?3+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, and at least 7 years overall in the field of HR preferably in a fast-paced environment. High tech or game industry preferred. ?Solid consulting and coaching skills - able to effectively build relationships by establishing trust, credibility and adding value quickly. ?Strong independent thinker with results focus ? able to quickly sort through information, form an opinion, and develop solutions. ?Able to balance compassion and toughness in coaching others and leading through change. ?Good understanding of local employment law, coupled with the ability to gain a high level understanding of territorial employment customs and practices working with EA's worldwide HR team. ?Highly comfortable with data and spreadsheets, with the ability to improve organizational performance by analysing and applying critical data to business decisions and planning. ?Agility ? comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments. ?Must have a sense of humour, a passion for customer service, and a drive for continuous improvement. ?Demonstrated ability to understand the business you support and frame HR issues and concerns in a business context. ?Excellent leadership skills because our HR Business Partners are leaders, inspiring other leaders to greatness. ?Courage and conviction to develop concise, clear solutions and provide constructive feedback and coaching. ?Strong, productive partnership with the business and HR partners that demonstrate accountability and influence in a matrix environment. ?Experience gained across core HR functions including Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Resourcing, Learning and Development, Change Management, and HRIS
